Airport Expresses don't show in Airpot Utility

Hi Scotty,
My gmail is acting up.  The icon on the desktop says 3 messages, when I click it, nothing happens.  I go to Mail at the top of the screen and "quit mail" is gray.  I went to Help and it said to go to Finder,  Library Folder, File, Get Info.  I got Library  Folder and there is no File, etc.  I can get gmail via google.com.  just not directly.
Any ideas?  Please send to this email - nothing at all comes up on gmail, including RSS.
Thanks,

Sometimes the mail application, while trying to communicate with an email server, will loose it’s connection to that server. Mail will hang there trying to talk to a server that’s not there and quitting is not even an option. I would suggest trying to force quit Mail. Use command+option+esc keys. Then select mail and force quit.
