The hard drive on my mac is shot and I need to try to recover my data. Edwina thought you might could help with this. If so how do I schedule an apointment with you?  Thanks.

Thanks for contacting me.  I would be happy to attempt to get the data off the drive although data recovery can be very difficult.  I will try with the normal tools that I have but if the hard drive has failed to the point of not wanting to cooperate at all then you may be out of luck unless you'd like to use a dedicated data recovery service.  Drive Savers is the most well known. They sometimes charge several hundred to one thousand dollars for their services.  Let's hope that we can transfer the data without having to go that route first however.
