Easy TV viewing for elderly

I hope you are well. I’m thinking my current technology need may not be on your list but thought I’d check anyway.

I’m trying to simplify my 84 y.o mother’s TV situation. She has memory issues and is no longer able to remember how to navigate her remote from day to day. None of the big service providers have a simplified remote so I’m looking at a new service called Jubilee TV. The company alleges to have good support services. Have you heard of this company or anything else similar? If not, do you have a recommendation for someone who could help us with set up?
___________

I can sympathize with what you’re dealing with having worked through the exact same issue myself with my mother just a couple years ago. I have not heard of Jubilee TV personally. I don’t know what your mother’s tv habits are but you may also consider an AppleTV. It has very large icons and you could remove most of them leaving her with just the select feel. However even then you’d need to navigate down into each app to get the channel or content you’re looking for. No way to create aliases to a specific show or channel unfortunately. But the remote is pretty simple so there’s that.

You might ask around to Cypress or other retirement homes to see if they have any suggestions.

iPhone rings once then goes to voicemail

Hi Scotty wife's phone is ringing once then going to voice mail, we checked settings, focus etc. we then backed up icloud and then wiped phone and reinstalled still doing same thing, any ideas?
___________

There is no setting on the iPhone to determine how many rings before it goes to voicemail. Good troubleshooting steps on your part but I think you might be better served calling your provider ATT/Verizon etc… and having them adjust the time out time. You might even ask them to just adjust it then call back later and have them adjust it again.

My guess is that it's somehow gotten set at the provider level to move to voicemail sooner than you'd like. I don't think the phone has any control over this. A simple test would be to make a FaceTime call to the phone. While FaceTime is not involved in voicemail, see if it rings more than once. If so, that puts even more evidence into the fact that it's probably the carrier's fault.

Why am I being charged twice for Adobe?

I'm being charged twice for Adobe. What can I do?
___________

Most likely you're paying for adobe products under two different accounts. (Email addresses)
. Both of those accounts could even be using the same credit card. Go directly to adobe.com, log in and adjust the first account accordingly. The hard part will be discovering what the second account is. These will not be related to each other so there won't be any evidence of one account associated to the other.

Adobe Creative Cloud is the doorway application that allows you to manage your subscription as well. It also assists in updating and downloading applications included in your subscription. You may already have Creative cloud running on your computer. If you do, you would see a small infinity looking symbol in the menu bar on the right side of your screen. You can click that to get more info as well.

Lastly, if you still haven't found which two accounts are associated to the charges, then let me know how you are seeing the charges. Email? Bank statement? That would provide the next clue.
