Where did the installer go after install?

I have a question mark where Monterey installer should be. When I click on the question, it asks me if I want to install.

If you’ve gone under the apple in the top left and selected “about this Mac” and it shows that macOS Monterey is installed, then the question mark you are seeing in the dock can be pulled out. It means that the upgrade has happened, the process deleted the installer but the dock doesn’t know that so it’s just placed a question mark where the Monterey installer used to be. Simply drag it out of the dock and it will go away.
